The beauty of this meticulously hand-painted, hand-carved door (probably a couple of centuries old) exemplifies the beauty found all over this land. Morocco is like a huge rough rock with many precious gems to be found inside.I've taken a lot of photos and I hope you do take the time to look through them to see more of this very interesting country. I can't wait to go back in the future and explore some more!

WOW! Talk about a trip of a lifetime. I'm jealous. What did you do in the desert once the sun went down? Fes is going to be on my short list now! That ornate tile work always blows me away.
We had a typical tagine dinner (one of the Berber guys prepared), sat around a campfire, played some drums together - mostly me fooling around and the 2 Berber guys and Aussie people laughing at me. Then Arno had a nice bonding exp. trying to send Buffalo Soldier via bluetooth to one of the Berber guides...didn't work unfortunately, lol. Were in bed by 10pm. Despite the layers of blankets and clothing, I was still very cold, but Arno slept pretty well...highly recommend Fes and the desert trip. From what I hear, Fes is tons less touristy than Marrakesh and we went in low season, so we only saw a handful of other foreigners the whole time.
